    The Master's Chair

In 1908 Mr C.T.D.Crews presented to the Company a carved Oak Chair for use by the Master. It was inscribed:

    Presented By Charles.T.D.Crews, D.L.,J.P., F.S.A.,

Twice Master of the Musicians Company 1908

It bore the arms of James I and was covered with velvet of that period.

While being stored at Stationers' Hall, it was destroyed by fire resulting from enemy action in 1940.
