Mark David Boden (b. 1986) was awarded the John Clementi Collard Fellowship in 2015 having been nominated by the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He had previously been awarded the Musicians' Company's Silver Medal whilst at that College in 2008.

In appreciation of receiving the Fellowship and the support given to him by the Company, he dedicated his 2016 composition, Viral (which had been commissioned by the Royal Welsh College) to the Worshipful Company of Musicians. He presented a signed and dedicated copy of the score to the Company on 17th January 2017. The inscription and a few early pages from this work are presented below.
