    A Ducal Fanfare

    In 2011 His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, celebrated his 90th birthday. The Livery Companies and other City of London organisations with which His Royal Highness has special links arranged a banquet at Fishmongers' Hall on Tuesday 28 June to celebrate the occasion.     The Duke was accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen and Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal (photo below shows the then Master Musician, Paul Campion, being introduced). To mark the event, the Musicians' Company (of which His Royal Highness the Duke is an Honorary Freeman) commissioned A Ducal Fanfare to be played by four students from the Royal Academy of Music (also see below).

    The composer of the Fanfare was Tarik O'Regan and a few pages from a dedicated and signed copy of the score are illustrated below.
