    The Musicians' Company Archive Project
    ROLLCO

The Records Of London's Livery Companies Online (ROLLCO), is a project first established in 2008 to research and record certain membership details from participating Livery Companies and publish those records in the form of a searchable database accessed via a website.

This project was undertaken by the Institute of Historical Research and in particular its Centre for Metropolitan History (which

was set up in 1988 in collaboration with the Museum of London, to focus on research into London and other Metropolises). The IHR is one of ten Institutes within the University of London's School of Advanced Study, concentrating on research and postgraduate study in the humanities.

The Musicians' Company was one of those that signed up to the ROLLCO project and in July 2014 the database containing Musicians' records was finally published. The database is freely available online at www.londonroll.org and contains details of Apprentices and Freemen of the Company from its earliest records, up to 1900.
