The Biddy Baxter and John Hosier Music Trust

John Hosier's untimely death in 2000 prevented him from taking up the role of Junior Warden of the Musicians' Company. In 2003, The John Hosier Music Trust was established by his wife Biddy Baxter. It was set up to provide an annual financial scholarship as well as career advice, guidance and performance opportunities for a student selected from nominations supplied by the UK Conservatoires and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

In 2016 Biddy Baxter's generosity, together with the transferred assets from the original John Hosier trust, created a new Musicians' Company scholarship called The Biddy Baxter and John Hosier Music Trust.

When funds allow, special awards are also made to 'runners up'.
