The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire - Silver Medals

Every year since 1984, a Musicians' Company Silver Medal has been presented to a student from the Birmingham School of Music. The School was actually renamed the Birmingham Conservatoire in 1989 and was granted 'Royal' status in 2017. It is part of Birmingham City University (which was itself originally known as The Birmingham College of Art, becoming Birmingham Polytechnic in 1971 and the University of Central England in Birmingham in 1992, finally becoming Birmingham City University in 2007).
