Established in 1989 and endowed by Mrs Camilla Hole in memory of her husband Constant Lambert (a Liveryman and former Collard Fellow 1934-1937) and her son Kit. It provides, at the Royal College of Music, a number of prizes awarded annually - decided by the Court following nomination by the Director of the RCM for the most promising students under 35.
The Fund also endows the Constant & Kit Lambert Junior Fellowship for Composition, Research or Performance to one or more advanced students of the RCM for a period of one year (with possible extension to a second year).
Surplus income from the Fund has also been applied at the Company's discretion to the New Horizons scheme for ensembles and in other ways to benefit the RCM.
