AWARDS & CHARITABLE FUNDS

This section covers Awards, Prizes, Medals, Competitions, Fellowships, Scholarships and other Charitable Funding.

Grateful thanks are due to Pastmaster Adrian Davis and the Company's Public Relations Committee at the time, for the production of the Prizes and Awards booklet produced in 2004, from which the structure of (and much of the content in) this section has been taken.

The Company's twice yearly Journal Preserve Harmony has contained details of Awards and Prizewinners since its first issue in 1990. This section carries a good deal of information taken from that organ and thanks are due to Adrian Davis (again) and to John Iles and all subsequent Editors. Click on the image (left) to see all PH back issues.

As in many other sections of this website, the Company Handbooks of 1902, 1950 and 2000 have been an invaluable source of information and thanks are due to Pastmasters Clifford B Edgar, H.A.F Crewdson and Richard Crewdson (the latter two having also been Clerk to the Company).

Information in this section has also been taken from the main Company website (www.wcom.org.uk) which contains up to the minute notice of all new competitions, award winners and funding. There are many other online resources which have been utilised and these are cited where appropriate.

The Awards etc have been split into categories and are presented below under these separate headings. Click on the specific Medal, Award, or Fund indicated to see further detail and past winners.
